Rose Lu is a professional dancer and model based in New York City. Rose was born and raised in Taichung, Taiwan, which is also where she was introduced to break-dancing at a very young age. She was part of the Black Angle Crew up until the moment she moved to New York City.
Rose is currently part of aKompany, a dance ensemble created and directed by Kenichi Kasamatsu, as well as a part of THE SHINSA COLLECTIVE that's directed by Bo Park. She performed with the internationally-acclaimed group BTSin the love Yourself World Tour at the CitiField stadium in 2018 and the 39th Annual Battery Dance Festival in 2019. You can also find her dancing in the Runaway music video by Sebastian Yatra featuring The Jonas Brothers, Daddy Yankee and Natti Natasha and as the lead dancer in Las Villa’s music video, Flow Romántico. Rose currently works closely with recognized NYC based dancers and choreographers such as Neil Schwartz, Carlos Neto, Ashle Dawson and Bo Park. Recently, Rose traveled to Colombia where she had the chance to choreograph for the non-profit "PASO" and dance next to Nickelodeon celebrity, Sebastian Silva.
Rose's teaching experience includes the New York based studios PJM and Broadway Dance Center's Children & Teens. She has also worked internationally, teaching at the award-winning Colombian dance studios Bailaderia, MUN and The Game and was a guest instructor at PariJ, a popular studio located in Taichung, Taiwan.
